What we need is for more people who vote to recognize that you can enjoy the 2nd Amendment's Right to Bear Arms WHILE STILL HAVING it be well-regulated.
Congress should have a true debate on a common sense approach that allows citizens to continue to own pistols and rifles for hunting and self-defense while doing all we can to disallow those weapons that are created for the sole purpose of mass killing.
It has been presented as a stark choice between the government coming and taking away all of our guns versus allowing almost anyone to have almost any kind of weapon they want. What is missing is a debate that covers the middle ground.
