The Debate on Gun Regulations
What we need is for more people who vote to recognize that you can enjoy the 2nd Amendment's Right to Bear Arms WHILE STILL HAVING it be well-regulated.
Congress should have a true debate on a common sense approach that allows citizens to continue to own pistols and rifles for hunting and self-defense while doing all we can to disallow those weapons that are created for the sole purpose of mass killing.
It has been presented as a stark choice between the government coming and taking away all of our guns versus allowing almost anyone to have almost any kind of weapon they want. What is missing is a debate that covers the middle ground.
